MSI Foundation arrived in Mexico in 1999, in the state of Chiapas<\/h4>\n<\/section>\n
\n

With the goal of supporting the population with information on sexual and reproductive rights and contraception services, to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies and maternal deaths.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

In 2008, we arrived in Mexico City (formerly known as the Federal District),<\/h4>\n<\/section>\n
\n

A year after the decriminalization of abortion in the city, to support the population in accessing legal and safe pregnancy termination. Our goal was to address a public health issue in Mexico: maternal mortality and high rates of teenage pregnancy; as well as to bring our other sexual and reproductive health services closer to the Mexican people.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
